Having spent some time in Manchester this summer – take a look at the outcome: A short film on Manchester drag artist Cheddar Gorgeous

Thanks everyone that helped make my exhibition possible from framers to delivery people and hangers /installers . It was great to be showing in the South of France – rather humbled to be not far from Chagall, Leger, Picasso and Matisse museums….well it’s a start anyway ! Big thanks to the team at La Coupole for making this possible.

After a very busy month and mad printing and getting everything ready , I hop the picturesfit into my custom built crates!
If they don’t then my “one man show” in La Gaude, France is likely to be a just a “show” because I am not going! I have to say I think what’s in the crates is worth it!
It will be good to get some space. At least pre Brexit there’s no customs work to be done.
I have been working flat out for this exhibition and am now in the closing stages of its printing. I have one or two more photography artworks to prepare and then it’s off on the lorry to travel across France.
Opening night is 28th April 2017 for my Solo show in La Gaude near Nice in France. I am showing some 25 artowrks on my Blockhouse and imagined places theme and it will be a wondeful opportunity to review this photography exhibition in the South of France
It will be great to see so many supporters at the exhibition at La Coupole, 7382-7446 Route de Cagnes, 06610 La Gaude, France
So, finally, after nearly a year I managed to work out this wonderful textured ” imagined place”. I guess what finally gave me the idea was printing it onto textured paper.
The building comes from the Gloucester Road in Bristol . An eclectic mix of different owner occupied shops in a funky Bristol street. Nestling in this street is this abandoned building and I have been going past it on and off for the last few years and it never seemed to be any nearer to getting redeveloped! Luckily. I love the smokiness of this building in this image and the way it wafts upwards.
Captivated by these old English churches, I am doing a series of black and white images on them. They will be quite small and with wonderful tones and detail, I hope that they will resonate with many people fond of our architectural heritage. Nestling in the South Downs National Park, Barlavington Church is a real gem with fabulous views over the downs. Keep your eyes peeled for further examples as i capture them and these will be available in my open studios show coming up on November 11th at Wimbledon Art Studios .
Well in the last two years I have been fortunate to be longlisted in the top 100 emerging artists globally- which is pretty exciting for me. I submitted my piece “I canna believe its Scotland “. All you proud owners who have bought a print can be rightfully chuffed that it is now in a book with an ISSN number! I still have a few left in the edition of 10 . This is a story about the last wilderness in the Highlands of Scotland .Here at the extreme northern tip of the UK- Cape Wrath it-gets wetter and wetter andour island becomes less congested and more uninhabited. I especially was struck by the number of derelict crofters houses that i saw on my travels. I have tried to express this in this piece which is part of my imagined places series
